Domestic and Offshore Work

Atema has served as a key member of large project teams for major bridge construction. Our Technical Managers work in unison with clients, inspectors, owner’s engineers, construction manager’s representatives to problem solve and execute projects meeting quality requirements and schedules. Our roles are varied, but have included guiding fabricators and manufacturers in matters of quality consultation, relevant standards, training, US code interpretation for offshore projects and creating and facilitating implementation of RFI’s.

When the Atema team is involved early in the project, we are often part of specification revision and review of preliminary designs for constructability and fabrication ease. Our firm has given technical advice during the material procurement, fabrication, welding, steel coating systems, NDT inspection and testing stages for problem resolution.

Atema has also facilitated international team meetings for resolution of quality problems, review of schedule, and resolving unforeseen roadblocks. Our facilitation role also includes travel logistics, identification of key personnel, and code and project requirement interpretation across languages.
