Jeff Stankiewicz joined Atema as a Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ) in early 2025. He is also an AWS Certified Welding Inspector and AWS Certified Welding Supervisor, with over 30 years of welding fabrication and structural steel experience.

Jeff started as a welder/fitter in 1988 fabricating box beams related to nuclear submarine shipbuilding, and worked his way up from welder to fitter, fabricator to foreman, before accepting a management position as Production Manager at major structural fabrication facilities, supervising as many as 50 welders/fitters. This was followed by a move to the quality side after obtaining his AWS-CWI/CWS (2013/2014, respectively) and becoming a QA/QC manager, then Quality Auditor (2020) and Certified Quality Engineer (2024).

His experience includes industry sectors such as assembly line steel building fabrication, structural steel for buildings and bridges (AISC), boiler/pressure vessel/piping (ASME/API) and equipment for the recylable/renewable industry.

Jeff also served as Production Manager at a large marine steel fabrication facitility. He implemented a completely new QC system to the production department, and worked closely with engineers and other department heads meeting company goals.

In 2014 he spent three years as QC Coordinator for North/South America with a multinational company working in the metals, mining, and energy sectors. Jeff performed project quality management, quality document reviews, vendor shop inspection, fabrication QA system audits, and final shipping inspections.

In 2020, Jeff started his own QA consulting company and worked on projects in the waste-to-energy and railroad bridge sectors, serving as a quality auditor and quality systems subject matter expert.
