Tom has been with Atema since 2016 where he currently serves as Atema’s Technical Director and Senior Quality Systems Specialist. His professional role of Technical Director is responsible to keep technical personnel current and knowledgable in codes, standards and specific industry requirements. Tom is also responsible for developing the company’s interpretation of certification requirements and how compliance is implemented during certification services and audits.

Tom Anderson joined Atema after working as an Assistant Drilling Foreman for Devon Energy Company. Tom managed a $3800/hour fast paced drilling operation by organizing procedures and promoting safety to efficiently improve drilling times. He successfully coordinated operations and logistics which resulted in obtaining the record for the fastest drilled well for Devon Energy Corporation in the Anadarko Basin.

In addition to his civilian work experience, Tom served 10 years of exemplary military service in the U.S Army where he was a Captain in Engineering. He commanded organizations of over 180 personnel and had fiscal responsibility of over $55 million worth of property and equipment. Over his military years he has gained extensive knowledge incorporating multifaceted training plans into all operations that supported customers and ensured core engineering competencies. Tom oversaw and implemented training programs resulting in 100% operational readiness of a 750 soldier battalion. He served as a training consultant for National Guard and Reserve units resulting in 100% certification rate of trained organizations. 

Lieutentant Colonel Anderson remains in active service while still contributing full time to his work at Atema.
